Bedfordshire - 5 Days

Commissioned by a private school and nursery group, Brava Groundworks were tasked with clearing a disused portion of one of this Client's properties and delivering a blank canvas Forest School area for the children to enjoy.

Here is just one part of the new forest school garden with a purpose built 5m x 5m x 7m gazebo with rubber roof, new perimeter fencing, BSEN-1177 play grade bark surfacing and a self-binding gravel pathway and hard standing from the new picket fencing up to and under the gazebo itself. Low sleeper planters were installed to be used by young children to plant vegetables and an environmentally friendly rain water collection system installed by the gazebo to water the planting. All of this work, start to finish, was completed over long hours at weekends to prevent disruption to the setting and to promote safeguarding, keeping the children of the school away from unnecessary exposure to these groundworks and the potential risks that accompany works of this nature.

Hertfordshire - 2 Days - £5,650.00

This small garden project consisted of a heavily sodden lawn due to poor drainage over two levels and a patio at the lowest level suffering from a constant flow of water.

Our client contracted Brava Groundworks to assist with our residential drainage expertise and discovered original land drains on excavation that had collapsed in multiple locations and were suffering from severe root intrusion and blocked membranes.

We installed a new land drain system deep in the clay rich soil, battling against fast flowing water and using sections of solid pipe near trees and areas concentrated with established root systems. Rodding eyes were added to promote good maintenance of the new drainage network and prevent severe blockages and silt build up.

After an extended period of flooding, the water subsided from the lawns and now flows under control to an adequate outfall.

Bedfordshire - <1 Day - £1,900.00

Commissioned by one of our private school groups, this ramp structure was previously constructed of timber and was at the end of it's life.

Our Client was looking for a fast and cost effective solution and a simple concrete ramp was installed to replace the original timber ramp, offering years of service and excellent anti slip properties with a brushed finish.

Completed outside of school hours to safeguard the children that attend the setting and to ensure no disruption to the day to day operations of the school.

Brava Groundworks was contracted to establish a concrete hard-standing, supply-only this Dunster House garden room and install mains power and network to the garden room.
